Emily Fulp
Senior Vice President, Executive Office & Communications
Emily Fulp oversees the Executive Office, Communications, and Public Relations functions at SoundExchange. In these leadership roles, she balances the company’s internal and external business goals while setting and directing the communications strategy for SoundExchange. Emily also manages communications efforts for musicFIRST, an industry coalition working to ensure music creators get fair pay for their work on all platforms and wherever and however it is played.
Emily is an active member of the Recording Academy, Chief (a private network built to drive more women into positions of power and keep them there), and the Public Relations Society of America.
Prior to joining SoundExchange, Emily held various positions in the nonprofit space working for organizations like the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce and the North Carolina Partnership for Children. At the Chamber of Commerce, she led initiatives to keep tax incentives for film and television studios to bring production work to Wilmington, an effort to help stimulate the local business economy. Emily began her career in Los Angeles working on various film and television projects and has a background in theatre, studying at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. A former SAG member, Emily is always an advocate for the arts and passionate about her work at SoundExchange ensuring a better future for creators.
Emily graduated with distinction from Furman University and earned her Master’s Degree in Arts and Nonprofit Administration from the Savannah College of Arts and Design.
